Sam Yau

I have re-invented my life several times, from a six-month-old baby on a refugee boat to a penniless student from a distant land, to the CEO of a billion-dollar corporation, to the chairman of an iconic pioneering center for personal growth, to a poet who writes about the soul’s journey, life’s vicissitudes, trauma and healing, consciousness, and mysticism.

My poetic musings clarified, distilled, deepened, and ingrained the essence of past spiritual experiences onto my being. As I sculpted my poems, my poems sculpted me at the same time. Writing poetry has become my most enjoyable and uplifting spiritual practice.

I published my first poetry book, Soul’s Journey, in 2021. I co-authored Souls in Love with my partner, Sophie Roumeas, in 2022. Both books became Amazon International Bestsellers.

I live with Sophie and my seventeen-year-old daughter, Sapphire, in Laguna Beach, California.
